I’ve had this sitting on my Mac for over a week. So, when I say I’ve had the iPhone since last Friday, I mean I’ve had it since the day it was officially launched. Let me know what you think of the new iPhone and/or the latest firmware. I’ve heard a lot of bad reports on the new software - I’ve experienced a lot of problems - ranging from slowness to email not working from time to time.

Nice review - you’ve mentioned all the key points (including the App Store dilemma for poor owners of jailbroken handsets). I can’t tell if you’re being sarcastic half the time or not though!
Google Maps didn’t work for me on the Friday either but then it was fine. I loved the pulsating red dot onscreen that moved along as I walked and the fact that it was far more accurate of course.
And yes, I can’t believe people applauded just because Jobs announced that the iPhone was getting a standard sized audio-in.
