I’m sacking Yahoo! and MyBlogLog

For some reason Firefox is intermittently clearing my user names and passwords (yes, I’ve check all my privacy settings and they’re not to blame). As usual, Yahoo! is the only one I have a problem trying to remember. Not only that, it’s almost impossible to renew your password. Why can’t you just provide an email address? Because that would be too easy, that’s why.
Anyway, I managed to log into Yahoo! so my next stop was MyBlogLog (now owned by Yahoo!). I eventually logged into that too. Do you think that was enough? No. I was asked to merge my Yahoo! and MyBlogLog accounts. So, when I tried, it told me that my usernames were already merged. But when I tried to log into MyBlogLog it… ah you know what, forget it. I couldn’t be arsed to explain it any further.
MyBlogLog will no longer be used on this, the Segala blog or the BIMA blog. I’ve had enough of Yahoo! registration systems. You will no longer see the pretty faces that belong to my reader communities. Is that a good thing?

Well that’s too bad (But I know what you mean: I’ve been frustrated by Yahoo login system as well)
If you still want to show your readers profiles, there are alternatives, such as <a href=”http://www.alenty.com”>Alenty</a> (with an added “hot”/relevance indicator)

I went through the same pains when I shifted macs it was so frustrating so much so I’m glad to see the back of it to be honest. MyBlogLog was simple and cool once. It is a shame as its always nice to see who your readership is and its a way of discovery to new blogs/friends
