New design looks really nice. Simple yet cool and elegant.

Like the design - miserable picture though. Get one that looks brighter!

I think it's good Paul - the green is washed out on my screen - that is the link green. And opportunist has a negative connotation for me - though I guess not for everyone. Being open to opportunity is clearly good. I would be less inclined to repeat the photo - maybe if you had another? Hope that helps.

Lots of seemingly wasted space on he left, THE IRISH… is in the wrong place or the picture is wrong, the letters seem to be merging into the pic and whilst it's readable it just looks “off”

Personally, I'd reduce the left column by 50%, list the other blogs vertically and leave more space for er….blogging!

we need to chat about photos and how some photos in life, do not do one justice. sound familiar, yes. let's CHANGE it.

Consider the following:
1.) reducing left column about 25% so you will have more room to embed images/vids/multimedia in blogs
2.) move your current right column widgets below Blogs I Scribble On in new format
3.) keep tag line of Irish Opportunist
4.) pick a pic of you enjoying the life you are leading

as well, consider using your pic area as a multimedia box that rotates images or media, and or, has left and right arrows to see more images or media…

Is this a design, or just a wireframe? I'd say it's less contemporary than the current one.

I would have thought something with more content coming into it would have been more appropriate, seeing as you blog in so many places, tweet a lot, post and appear in videos etc - maybe pulling in everything you do online via friendfeed or sweetcron or some other kind of lifestreaming tool.

I think it just feels a bit static for me…

The sidebar doesn’t look quite right on the left hand side. Perhaps it needs to be a little narrower or shifted across to the right.

The design is looking pretty good, but there are lot of empty spaces in the bottom of the page which could be removed and some links could be added i think, otherwise everything looks to be cool.
